The image here is one of my rejected tries at art for the current Ludonarrative Dissidents Kickstarter. I thought it was funny but Ross felt it had a negative vibe. After I thanked him and preened, he explained that no, in this instance, that’s a negative thing.
Anyway, we launched with a really fabulous extra-long livestream featuring Meg & Vince Baker, load that up when you’ve got a long car ride, it’s splendid and I really was not joking when I said I’d want Meg to replace me on LND if, God forbid, I become incapacitated and unable to continue.
The project is leaping along, it’s funded and we’ve cleared one stretch goal but, just between us here in my obscure corner of the internet, I’m really hoping we hit the $18K goal. That would be a treat.
In other Kickstarter news, zines are racing my way from MIXAM. I placed a single order for the print version of Thomas Jefferson’s Speedway Hell as well as fifty zines for a future fiction project. (It’s The Holy Beast and if you’ve been following the Borzhu stories like Into Debt Goes Ank and Against the Silver Slavers, this is pretty much the climax of the series.) Both ordered at the same time, one sent by FedEx and one by UPS for some bizarre reason, and both due to arrive today. Note, I haven’t gotten paid for the TJ KS yet, I’m just trusting the system.
I’m sure it’s fine.
