In Recreational Telepathy, we get the viewpoints of two lowly technicians managing expensive and complicated computer equipment that allows two people to merge their identities. This is more than just words or vague feelings. The people so linked understand one another on a wordless, primal level. It is, of course, used for dating and (also of course) is tremendously expensive. So in passing, the reader also gets a glimpse of people who have it all but still can’t find love.
